Another difference between Jay and me: he watches every possible pre-gam-ish TV programming leading up to a sporting event: pre-games, countdowns, countups, replays, commentaries, analysis - whatever the TV channels throw at him, he catches and absorbs.
Me? I watch the game - or the boxing match - or whatever the hell it is. That's it. No pregame. No postgame. Just the freakin' game or event.
Well, I finally figured it out why we're so different: Jay needs all that crap because it's like foreplay before sex. He can't just watch sports - he needs sporplay before he can get himself "up" for the game.
Yep: without sporplay - and lots of it, he's a limp viewer.
I, on the other hand (and I don't want to brag about my viewing prowess) do not need sporplay. Now, I don't want to brag but the fact is I can get "up" for a game at a moments notice.
