Did the President's watch get lifted while shaking hands in a crowd while visiting Albania? Depends on what video you watched at YouTube.
One of the most talked about stories this week originated on the Internet and was distributed by YouTube and other video sites embedding the video code.
If anyone out there still thinks this is the world of NBC Nightly News, Katie Couric, CNN, or even Fox News, they are mistaken. The old "Big Three" networks and even the newer cable news networks are yesterday's news, literally.
Personal and mobile video - and the almost immediate access to it - is the new journalism. And, we have all been drafted into this new army of digital witnesses by nature of our camera phones.
We shoot it, upload it, share it, and then view it.
The world and it's myriad of events has been lassoed by a gadget we carry in our pockets.
We are the new reporters.
And the beat we cover is our own lives.
