Supermarket Immigration

So, Congress is working on this rather detailed immigration reform bill which from everything I've read and the analysis I've seen on TV, is nothing more than a very elaborate amnesty bill which will not only add 10 million illegal aliens into our society - but will cost us - the taxpayers - billions of dollars (yes billions) in future entitlements and services which the illegals will be able to access with very little effort.

I'm going to put this whole issue into perspective for those of you who think America owes these guys something more than a swift kick in the pants for entering our country and breaking our laws to begin with.

The other day I was standing in the one line at the supermarket that was open. As I stood there, people came up and stood behind me. Finally, the genius manager opened a second line and who do you think was next? Me? The person who had been standing in line and was rightfully next? Do you think the new cashier motioned to me to please come over?

No. As a matter of fact, the cashier did nothing as the last person in my line ran over to the new cash register followed by the next to last - both in back of me and who had waited the least amount of time.

Yet, they were rewarded for that. Folks: the government is the new cashier and the last folks in line are the illegal aliens who have sacrificed the least to benefit from the U.S.A. I was the legal resident following the supermarket law and waiting my turn - and for what? Apparently nothing.

Our immigration policy makes as much sense as a badly managed supermarket.
